Another impressive quilt block from "Around the Block with Judy Hopkins". The Underground Railroad block isn't hard, but I wouldn't attempt it if this is your first quilt. I say that only because it doesn't work up as fast as some of the other quilt blocks and you want to make sure all your points meet up nicely. You can see in the picture the free motion quilting I did. This is something new I have learned by taking Leah Day's Free Motion quilting class on Craftsy. I highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to learn free motion quilting. That has become one of my favorite parts of quilting.I made a baby quilt using the Underground Railroad quilt block.
