Quilt Block 114, Ladies' Aid Album

Ladies' Aid Album quilt block is block number 114 from my favorite quilt book, "Around the Block with Judy Hopkins". I am in the process of making all 200 quilt blocks. My purpose is to sew four blocks together to see the secondary pattern. I am on my third year of this project.

Most of the blocks are fairly easy, a great book for beginning quilters! Ladies' Aid Album is no exception. It is made up of half square triangles, squares and rectangles.

I haven't sewn all the blocks together in this picture but you can get the idea of what they will look like. There is definitely a secondary design with this quilt block.

I used the Ladies' Aid Album block to make a "Lovie Lap Quilt" with Pockets. On to the next block...

Meeting Leah Day

It was so exciting yesterday to go to the MQX Quilt Festival in Manchester, New Hampshire and meet Leah Day. Leah has been my inspiration not only in free motion quilting but also in owning her own quilting business. She and her husband, Josh are so easy to talk with.
