I purchased the butterfly quilt as a reminder of my husband who recently passed as everyday since I have seen butterflies. I reached out to her and asked if she was willing to make additional butterfly quilts for my children. She was kind, caring and helpful. This is the fifth baby quilt I purchased from Carolyn. Three quilts went to my niece for her three baby boys. Two were sent to two other families. I have not seen these quilts, but all the parents told me they cherish the quilts - beautiful, functional, and meaningful. I am glad that the gifts were well received. The quilt I ordered is beautiful and well made. My grandmother in-law was a life long quilt maker and I have a dozen or so of her quilts, some in use for 30 years and still look great, unfortunately she passed 4 years ago so I couldn’t go to her for a new quilt for my soon to be niece. The quilt I got from Carolyn’s Home Sewn is the same quality. It’s a beautiful quilt that is well made and I have not doubt it can last 30 plus years (if used appropriately). I received my quilt and when I opened it, I was ecstatic! It is so beautiful!! I bought it for my mom who is in a memory care facility in my home town. She always has a blanket or comforter on her when I go to visit and she has her hands tucked under the top of it because her hands are always cold. This will be just perfect for her. I called Carolyn and asked if she could customize a color palette on a baby quilt and she was more than accommodating. When I received it, I couldn’t believe how beautifully it turned out. It was also personalized with the baby’s name. The decorative flannel backing was also adorable. Very, very happy with the result!

I ordered 7 quilts for Christmas but found that I needed two more. I asked Carolyn the first of Jan if she would make me another puppy quilt and another elephant quilt. She finished them and I had them in my mailbox within two weeks. They are, as always, beautiful quilts and, as always, the quality of the quilting is remarkable. She is very skilled at what she does and I don't believe there is anyone anywhere that could ever come close to matching her skills. Just looking at her work makes me happy. I ordered seven quilts this year for Christmas gifts for seven little pet kids. I usually get everything done for Christmas in July but this year I didn't even start until the middle of September so I was very nervous about being able to get them done by Christmas. I received them yesterday, November 7, and I am beyond thrilled with them. I ordered three elephant quilts, three puppy quilts, and one sports quilt. The colors are vibrant and beautiful on line but much more so when I took them out of the box to look at them. I had to look at them for a couple of hours before wrapping them up. She put a special back on the quilts with paw prints and even the back it unbelievably beautiful. I have ordered at least a total of 12, maybe more, of Carolyn's quilts over the years. They are the best gift ever! Little K-9 kids always love them. If you have some spoiled pets and are looking for something special for them then you should get them a quilt from Carolyn's. They are not just for pet kids, they are for newborn babies and up as well. Carolyn is a very talented artists and hands down you will never find a better quilter. My sister became a grandma last month, but lives quite a ways from her new bundle of love. I special ordered a grandma quilt to match the baby quilt I sent to as a Newborn gift. She loves it. Such a great little business. I’ve bought 2 quilts and would certainly buy more. They are beautiful, exactly as pictured, arrive promptly and at a very appropriate price. If I could offer one suggestion, Carolyn wraps the quilts and ties them up with a ribbon, which is such a nice touch, but I just have to unpick the knot in the ribbon so I can get a look before mailing my gift out. I wish you could maybe tie a bow that would be easier to untie?? 😉

I bought this quilt for my mother-in-law who lives in a nursing home. It’s a beautiful pattern, and it is made with excellent quality. I love the pocket for keeping her hands warm since she always has cold hands. It came wrapped in paper and a ribbon, so I don’t even have to wrap it for Her birthday. I ordered this quilt and it had to be special made. Believe it or not I actually received it in my mailbox one week from the day I ordered it. As if that didn't shock me enough, when I open the PKG. I found it to be not only beautiful but the workmanship was out of this world. This was made by very talented artist and obviously with lots of love. Beautiful quilt pattern, wonderful stitching, quick shipping. One especially adorable aspect that was surprised to see but really appreciated was that the quilt was wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon with a "Thank you" note. It is such a small detail that shows the care that was put into making the product that you cannot remotely find with other online stores.
