Duck and Ducklings, Quilt Block 109

Ducks and Ducklings is not a hard block to make but it takes a lot of time but well worth it.  This quilt block is a perfect example of a secondary quilt pattern when you sew all four blocks together.  I just love the look of this block when sewn together.  I think it is very impressive. 

I also love the fabrics I chose for this quilt.  I made a "Lovie Lap Quilt" with pockets using the Duck and Ducklings Quilt Block. 

I would consider this quilt block an intermediate because of all the half square triangles.  A beginning quilter might be overwhelmed.  For all you ambitious quilters, I hope you give Duck and Ducklings a try.
