Quilt block forty-eight is called "Big T". Not a very romantic name but a great quilt block to sew. In the quilt book, "Around the Block with Judy Hopkins", Judy shows this block with just two colors. I chose to use five colors in each block. I think the five different fabrics makes this block come to life. Maybe the next time I make this block I might turn the block and play around with the colors even more. I think I could have alot of fun with this one.

Quilt Block Forty-Nine is called Churn Dash. This is an easy quilt block with great results. I had that pale blue flowered fabric that I loved and wanted to show it off. I didn't want alot of other fabrics in this block. However, looking at the four blocks sewn together, I can see where I could add a third or fourth fabric which would change the whole look. I will definitely have to give that a try the next time I use the Churn Dash block.
