Framed Squares is one of those quilt blocks you want to use when you have a large print that you would like to highlight. I had a gorgeous floral print I wanted to show off.
The rest of the block is half square triangles. There isn't alot of changes you could make with this block other than changing the fabrics of the half square triangles.
This block did make a beautiful "Lovie Lap Quilt". Take a look.
I have also done a few Christmas table runners that are not from "Around the Block with Judy Hopkins". I found this next pattern and wanted to give it a try.
This is called "Hot Flash". I think it looks awesome. It really wasn't that difficult to make. Some day I will make a whole quilt using Hot Flash.
I then saw a pattern with a poinsettia. So I gave it a try.
