Last week I went to Florida with my sisters to celebrate my Mom's birthday. We had a fantastic time. We were delayed coming home because of Sandy. We made out alot better than the people in New York and New Jersey, not to mention West Virginia. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected by Sandy.
Crockett Cabin is a great block for beginners. Half square triangle is the hardest part of the block. You can use two or three colors. I chose to use three. Here is what the block looks like.
I love these fabrics but I should have used a darker medium. It doesn't stand out as much as I was hoping. Here is what the block looks like when you put four together.
You could turn the blocks in different directions to make different patterns. I chose the pattern that creates a circle. I turned this quilt into a Lovie Lap Quilt with pockets.
