Quilt Block Forty-Three, Eccentric Star

Eccentric Star is another easy block, great for beginners.  You are only dealing with half square triangles.  Below is a picture of the block.  

In this quilt I just used three fabrics.  Take a look at the four blocks together.

After I had seen the four blocks together, I wanted to make another quilt using more fabric.  I immediately saw the pinwheel in the center and knew that would stand out if I had a contrasting color.  So I went ahead and made a second quilt.  Take a look.

I love the look of this quilt.  If I use this block again, I might even play around with adding an additional fabric.  I could change the light color in the pinwheel.  Who knows.  Give it a try and have fun!
