Quilt Block Fifty-Seven, Year's Favorite

For those of you who are new to my blog, I am currently quilting 200 quilts from the 200 quilt blocks of my favorite quilt book, "Around the Block with Judy Hopkins".  In the past I have had trouble seeing what the quilt would look like from just seeing the quilt block.  When you sew four blocks together, you often get a secondary pattern which changes the whole look of the quilt.  This is why I am doing this project.  I wanted a place where you could go and see what the quilt would look like.

Year's Favorite quilt block is another fun and easy block.  You have squares and half square triangles.  You must square up each half square triangle.  This is time consuming but will give you those precise points. 

In the book, Judy shows this block using just two colors.  I chose to use four different fabrics.  I like how the different fabrics give you two different pinwheels.
