Quilt Block 35, "Star of Hope"
Star of Hope quilt block is a fairly easier quilt blocks. It is a three fabric quilt block. I have fussy cut the center block. There is not alot of variation you can do with this block other than choosing a different fabric for the center square, making the block with four fabrics.
I'm going to change what I just said. You could use a different fabric in the quarter square triangles than the squares at the corner. That could make the star pop as well.
When you put the four blocks together, it doesn't create a different pattern like some of the other blocks. Looking at the fabrics I chose, I feel I should have used more contrasting fabrics. I made a "Lovie Lap Quilt" with this quilt block.
This is a very pretty quilt in person but when I see the picture of it, it doesn't look as definite as I would like, needing more contrast. Thanks for taking a look.
I have been quilting for close to 30 years and after loosing my job twelve years ago, I am now able to do what I love, QUILT! I specialize in baby quilts and have designed the "Lovie Lap Quilt" with pockets.
