Maple Star is a wonderful looking block. It is an easy block but just a little more involved than some of the basic beginner blocks. I had a little bit of trouble squaring this quilt block up. I think when I was ironing the seams, I must have stretched the fabric a little. So be careful when you iron that you don't pull the fabric.

I made a Lovie Lap Quilt" with the Maple Star quilt block. After sewing the top together, I did some beautiful free motion quilting to complete the quilt. Free motion quilting is one of my favorite parts of making these quilts.
