Quilt block fifty is called Double Sawtooth. I have this beautiful floral fabric I highlighted in the center of the block with the sawtooth surrounding it. Notice the diamond shape the sawtooth portion makes when you sew the blocks together. I suppose you could play around and have those different colors. You could also have the squares different fabrics and make them pop. There are many options on this simple block.
Double Sawtooth is a simple block as long as you square up the half square triangles.

Quilt block fifty-one is called Double Pinwheel. Pinwheels are always fun. They make a great baby quilt. This is another easy block that can be impressive. If you notice on the four blocks, the center creates another pinwheel. So you have the darker pinwheels, the white pinwheels and the yellow printed fabric makes a pinwheel. Maybe this block should be called the Triple Pinwheel.

I did make this block into a baby quilt. I love all the different colored pinwheels. Have fun with this one.
